Get Licensed

All persons serving in a local church ministry role* with the Alliance Canada are required to be licensed with the district in which they live and serve. Churches may choose to have preliminary conversations with a candidate prior to the intention of hiring, however, successful completion of the licensing process is a prerequisite to hiring.

*Licensing is required for all persons serving 15 hours per week or more in a paid local church ministry role. The Alliance’s Manual defines ministry role as having “a primary focus on meeting the spiritual needs of people and/or providing church leadership.”

REQUIREMENTS for APPROVAL:

  • Foundational working knowledge of the Bible and biblical theology

  • Display of godly character and a consistent Christian lifestyle

  • A keen sense of mission

  • Agreement with the doctrines and all statements of The Alliance Canada

  • Successful completion of the application package

  • Successful interview with the Licensing Committee
